AS long as were bashing game Publishers...EIDOS SUCKS! Anyone one IGI? They refuse to fix the cursor problem with nvidia cards. I emailed them about it and suggested i revert all the way back to 12.41 but then noted i couldn't since GF4 have no support in that version. This game has been out for quite some time. Then there's Hitman 2 which will only work with certain Dets...FF7 being one of the games hardest to run on a pc flawlessly...add to that the fact that they back shitty games (daikatana) and let one of the greatest game developers die (Looking Glass anyone?)....I've seriously had it with Eidos...and EA too...used to have all the NFS games up until PU but when I upgraded to an NT based OS, all those games went down the crapper... What planet do these simpletons live in? People have been gaming on Win2k since the thing came out, yet they still fail to support xp or 2k even now? No more Eidos or EA titles are getting my green...

No offense, but the inquirer is as credible as the National Enquirer.....

Bah...Win2k or XP with Litestep beats Mac's gooey anyday...

I just check it to avoid any problems....that way i can righteously yell at the tech support guy..... (i dont have much to do lately)

Both work just fine under XP.....no tweaks or hacks necessary...at least for me.

I chose Logitech over Microsoft for two reasons: 1- The Logitech had 5 years warranty versus 3 on the Microsoft. 2- The Logitech had the "Built for XP" sticker on it. Amazing since none of the M$ Mice had it.

A double shot of Johnny Walker Black Label (or Gold Label if the chick is hot enough and there is a hint of poonani in the air ) or some Jim Beam if getting hammered quick is the event. -
or if it has a Lucent chip on it add "M0" (it's a zero) to the Extra Initialization Commands.....M0 mutes the modem. If not , you might want to check under msinfo 32 Run "msinfo32"....System summary\components\modem\....that should give you all the Init strings for your modem...

The latest Partition Magic works just fine with NT compression...( had to add some free space to my c drive since the dvd rip proggie I was using didn't let me rip the audio to my D drive).....I haven't had a problem with it yet.
-
There's a proggie called NoCapCD. Only catch is you can't use files with file names with capital letters in them.

From the two cards he's choosing from, it's pretty obvious he's looking for an economical solution.....a new mobo isn't what he's looking for.
-
I also recommend the Fortissimo 2....Sweet little card for the money.

Definitely different...i scanned my boot partition for "update.exe" and i couldn't find it...

Sorry, I guess i shoulda been more succint... I meant for the slipstreaming in Office XP, you need to uninstall xp in order to be able to do the shortcut thing /a .....What im trying to get at is, how do i get xp to do this (the OS)? I can't use a shortcut if i format. Does that make sense? I need the OS in order to make the install, apply sp1 and burn the cd...any clearer? The slipstreaming seems easy for Office XP since you are doing it within windows....I cant do anything (burn, apply patches, etc) if I don't have an OS installed...
-
I dont mean to be a jackass, but what do i do when the part equivalent to uninstalling then reinstalling xp comes around? In the Office slipstream, you had to uninstall office then reinstall it. I cant install xp to a directory if its already installed? Sorry if this seems a bit simple or stupid to you, but i would really like to know what you do then for xp....Thanks!

Opera! Also has a nifty pop-up killer...

The simplest way...Use CDex Another way, although a bit more involved, use EAC (?) audiograbber i believe its called....(cant really recall....looking into it....damn meds)

you tried 3rd party proggies yet?
-
Bah! Coolplayer is much better than Tinamp.... 1- It's smaller 2- Uses an .ini file instead of registry settings 3- Has a better implementation of MAD ( which already comes with the proggie) 4- Uses less resources 5- No bloat....It's not a multi-crap player...it's an mp3 player, and a good one at that 6- Sounds better... Coolplayer 2.04

It used to be so simple (win2k/win98) to disable java... Why do I need to disable java? It makes for a nifty Popup killer without the use of 3rd party programs...I went ahead and disabled all the scripting crap under security in Internet Options, yet the annoying ads (Like the crucial one on this page) still appear. Now if it were disables, Only a pretty little red x whould show up.... Anyone know how to do it? Thanks.

IE6.... Thanks! I had forgot which ones were the essential ones....
