What video card do you have and what drivers are you using. If you want,the sol'n i posted for Barbie BS... should work, if nothing else does. However, you shouldn't need to run it through apcompat.exe. I run it on my win 2k system with no problems.

Hello all, I recently purchased Barbie Beauty Styler for my daughter and found that it would not work with win 2K. Sol'n: Copy apcompat.exe to c:\program files\Barbie ®\BeautyStyler. Create a new text document through notepad. Rename to Barbie.bat. Enter the following line into Barbie.bat: apcompat.exe -v3 –xC:\program files\Barbie ®\BeautyStyler\BeautyStyler.exe Modify the shortcut for Barbie BeautyStyler to c:\programfiles\Barbie ®\BeautyStyler\Barbie.bat. This will launch Barbie Beauty Styler through apcompat... Seems to have resolved crashing back to desktop.
