I needed a fresh install but can't erase my harddrive cause I had so much I needed on there, so i reinstall on the same hard drive, partition but in a differant folder, and when I try to access the folder for my old user in documents and settings it says: c:/documents and settings/mjollnir1 is not accessable. access is denied anyone have any idea what I could do>? I got some pictures really important to me in there

I did it with partition magic, make the first partition 5 gig for 98 and the second 25 gig for xp. Yeah yep 9x must always come first.

Everytime I boot up I get this error: http://internettrash.com/users/planetdeath/error.JPG And obviously this happends after I install Nortons System works. However NAV still loads cause I see the icon loaded up, but the error is annoying. This error came up before in a previous installation of xp and Nortons. And others are having probs as well

Actualy I recently figured out its Nortons protected Recycle bin that does that, its saves alot of useless deleted files,just right click and Empty Nortons Protected Files

XP runs well on my comp, only problems have been compatability with a few games and progs. Grand Theft Auto 2 Cubase Virtual Game Station Don't seem to work, and I've had a few issues with the Det drivers. BUt the new 23.12 ones seem to work good, the defalt drivers xp used kinda sucked. And it automaticly had drivers for everything on my comp. But I expected that since I have a popular setup.

Does all it do is tell a programs its a differant OS or does it try to I guess "emulate" 9x/nt?

I noticed when I right click> properties on C:\ it says I'm using 7.48 gigs, but when I highlight all the files at the root of c:\(inc hidden and system files)and right clcik> properties it says 5.05 gig So wheres the other 2.43 gig? I have tried reinstalling, don't work, I ran defrag and stuff.
