A GF4 460MX is probably the fastest you'll find in PCI form. They are hard to find though. Check out www.newegg.com and if they do have one atleast you'll know you got a good price on it

Sampson thanks for all the tips I can check out. First I must say that I am pretty sure that it is a Critical Windows Update that is causing this as it starts happening when I update windows. But my brother runs WinXP home on a P4/256mb with all the same updates and has no issues like this at all. Also I started to get this with my old P3 before upgrading as I was told it was happening only on certain configs. Also I do run some mem hungry apps like Photoshop/Premiere and lots of games. But I have noticed that once I quit a huge app like that, winXP has more available memory for use. Even more than restarting. After a restart I have 130mb free mem available to windows but when I quit photoshop or a game I have 195mb free. I have also used the clear pagefile on shutdown that you recommended but all it does is give me a long shutdown. I also did a search for *.tmp files and got 3 results(SET3.tmp, SET7.tmp, CONFIG.tmp) Also I only run 2 or 3 apps at the same time tops, but it is somewhat rare. I thank you for your time sampson.

I have 32gigs free space on the disk and I have defragged using Norton Speed Disk 2002 and Diskeeper 7.0 with no luck. There really is no reason for me to be getting this message on shutdown.

Everytime I go to shutdown I get the following: "Not enough virtual memory. Windows is increasing the pagefile size." I do not know what is causing this at all. I set the pagefile to 768mb and let windows manage it but no luck at all. Any ideas would be helpfull.

When I go to stutdown I get the following message. "Windows-The minimum Virtual Memory Setting is too low. Try increasing the paging file size." I have done nothing to cause this and do not understand why it happens. Even if I set min and max at 768mb or let windows manage it I still get the error message. Could this be a virus or something. I always had the page file at 384/768 and i never had a problem so I don't get this at all. And it only happens at shutdown. Thanks for any ideas guys.

My brother just passed down to me his old(but better) mobo/proc/mem so now I can sell my older stuff. All you need for a complete PC is an HD and a case. I am asking $175.00 and will cover shipping. Intel 815EEA mobo /Intel graphics/ 4x AGP/ Intel Pentium3 933Mhz (256kb L2/CoolerMaster HSF) Kingston 256mb PC133 mem Antec 200Watt PS(NEW) Creative AudioPCI 128 Digital Sound Card Slot Cooler 1 Tube ArcticSilver2(NEW) MS Dual Strike Gamepad(New) Win98SE CD-ROM/Book,MS WorksSuite2000,Jane's Combat Sim Collection,Swat2,DirtTrack Racing,Mobil 1 Rally. Also as funny as this may seem I am giving away a fully working(don't laugh) Apple Performa 637CD. It's loaded with a 33Mhz Motorola 68040 proc(no FPU), 36mb ram, 365mb HD, 2x CD-ROM, Teleport 56k external modem, gravis joystick, 15" Mutli-scan display, keyboard & mouse, MacOS 7.5.5 and tons of software and games(DooM2,Dark Forces,SimCity,Hexen, Pacman3D)-good for a young kid or something- and all books included. If you want it for whatever reason, you just pay shipping on it. I know it's garbage but I feel better if I at least offer it to someone before hitting the trash or performing major meaningless surgery. Email me at impala71@attbi.com if interested

Definitely worth the download. Get it right away.

I have found that Radeonator is free and the best. I have been using it with no problems. And thanks for pointing me to that site guys, you must definitely visit if you have a Radeon.

Thanks for the tip. That is a sweet site. Too bad that after installing Rage3d tweaker it sent my PC into infinite restart mode.I just have to stay away from that one.

I was wondering if anyone knew of an program that would allow me to overclock a Radeon 8500. Thanks for any info.

TV out doesn't work if you patch the 27.42 drivers to work with the Refresh Rate Fix.

If you have broadband you should do this.

I has made a huge difference on my network of 3 PCs, which share a Cable connection, hard drives and printer. I think Clutch is right in what he said so I don't think you would notice a difference on just your web connection. But what this does is for me is allow me to download a few things at once with out them slowing down when I transfer large 50mb+ files from one PC to the other at the same time. It never hurts to turn it down though. -
It appears that when I use the Refresh Rate Fix I can't use TV-out. If I just install just the 27.42 drivers TVout works great but the refresh fix won't, but when I install the same drivers modified to use the fix the TVout is junk. Anyone else have this problem or if you can think of a possible solution.

That's cool that you got your games going. Nothing worse than not being able to play your games.

Thanks a lot Philipp, I really needed that.
