Quote: Icewind Dale I cannot get this game to work on Windows 2000, It gives me network errors even in single player Mode. Works Fine in Windows 98. I can't put my finger on the problem.

hmm, you playing it in direct3d or software rendering? -
I just got the icewind dale gift pack with both of these games in it. However the game simply is not working for me under Windows XP. I can get to the Menu screen fine, Where it asks me to select load/new gamek Ect. It only gives me Single Player as an option. But when I actually Click "New game or Load game" it tells me it cannot load the correct network protocol. Failure loading game. It starts up Fine in Windows 98. But I don't really use that OS and since I have over 512 Megs of ram it becomes extremely unstable. The readme says Windows 2000 is not supported but the compatibility archives insist the game works. And so do alot of people I have talked to on other boards. Any help would be apreciated. P.S aplication compatibility tool does not work with this game.

Hello everyone. I've been trying to get Final Fantasy 8 to run under Windows 2k for quite some time. However I have this problem. Under My geforce 2 MX 200 and my Newer Geforce 4 MX 440. I know the problem is consistent with both cards under the latest nvidia drivers. I get color distortions in game. Other than the color distortion the games Play Fine. I downloaded the Geforce Fix patch from electronic arts. I was wondering if there is any other trouble shooting I can do.
