One of my friend has a laptop... His Outlook 2000 config is 1-Exchange Svr 2-Internet mail ( with pop and smtp ) he use this account to send/receive mail When he travels with his laptop and he wants to send a mail, he just cannot because Outlook tries to contact Exchange Server ... and can't join it so the mails are not sent... even if choose the autonomous mode when opening outlook... How to tell him to use the "2-internet mail" to send the emails and not to connect to the exchange server

Quote: Well I like .NET better than XP but I run XP cause it is final and .NET is beta Is there a big difference between 2000SVR and .NET ? Interface ? Needs big hardware ?

I had to create a user for my task manager to work properly... but when i boot up XP, this user is in the logon screen and I dont want it to be there... I want the computer to automatically boot into windows without this screen... I tried the automatic logon (i found it in the XP ressource kit book) but it dont work... vmware(a software) has created a user but this one doesn't appear in the login screen so I guess there is a way to apply this policie to the user I created thank you

I think I found it... at the end of the backup planning, Win was asking for a username+password for the backup operation... I left it as it, without password (because my account does not have a password)... I just tried to create a user with a password and I entered it and it seems to work... i'll continue and give you some news

I just scanned it and I didn't saw anything related to this ;( it was a good idea..
