i've seen i program for xp to do any type of icon changing (and of course i can't think of the name) but it only allowed for a few icons to be changed (like my computer, and the other desktop icons) but not the actual icon assigned to the drive inside my computer... come to think of it though, try searching for icon packs...maybe someone came up with a installer that will change the complete theme ( i highly doubt it) but who knows...

naw kazaa is just bailing out, but they sold their networks before it happened....so those programs that use those networks will be fine.

i think you'd have to do some serious hacking to change those. like using reghack to it's fullest capabilities...and i don't even know where to look...you might also have to root around in the registry...i dunno...though....

i use kazaa here at work because i don't care about spyware here...but at home, i run winmx...it works the best for dialup, morpheus blows chunks...and i won't run spyware junk at home...

the best way i've found is to do it the other way around, install 98 then install xp. 98 can't handle boot thing (lol..i forgot the term) otherwise you would need a piece of software to set it up right...

i use SSH currently and it's rather simple....i think i could even teach my wife to use it, in a few minutes...lol

i was wondering why, after deleting temp internet files, and clearing history, i'm still finding "history" in the address bar. let me explain just a tad though, i mean after i clear it all, there's nothing listed when you check the drop down menu on the address bar, but when you type in a letter into the address bar, it finds old sites that have been visited. how do i clean that crap out on a system running xp pro and ie 6? thanks

yeah i don't want to lose a few specific cookies, and when you mentioned the autocomplete i had thought of that earlier, but couldn't think of how to get to it.... i'm not at home right now, so i can't check, but on 98 it tells you to clear the web addresses (in contents) from the clear history part under the general tab. i'm assuming though i'd only have to clear the forms one, if i don't want to loose passwords?

i thought it was rather nice i didn't have to fiddle with loading drivers for my old hardware (with xp) like i did with 2000.
