Pcoket PC Phone and Win Mob 2003 Upgrade
Immortal replied to BobbyKim's topic in Everything New Technology
it isnt possible, the ROM MUST be for that phone, im the owner of a Motorola MPX200, there have been ROMS for WM2003 for other phones bu we have just recentley got a hacked ROM, because Motorola arent gonna release a WM2003 ROM. They wont release a new ROM because they are afraid it will eat into the sales of a new phone if they release one, because one of the major pulls of upgrading is the new OS. -
I watched the match at center court myself, dont ask how i got tickets, booked in advance. I must say, electric atmosphere, excellent tennis, a rising star, we have the womens answer to fedderer. I loved the match, really tense, so much fun! Sharapova, really good player, quite the looker aswell, but as she said, shes a tennis player and a damn fine one i might add. Gonna go watch the mens final tomorrow, god i hope theres no rain, should be another nerve racker!

Ur setup is a major power hog, so power would be a problem. The enermax PSU's r good, and have high current draw so itl be better than the generic one!

Needing a compatible graphic card and driver for directx 9 * Body Shop
Immortal replied to angelindesgise's topic in Games
From that log, it seems u need Windows to detect ur chipset properley, hence U need the latest intel chipset software drivers, they go by the name of Intel Chipset Software Utility (also sometimes Intel INF Install). -
Which one is more important? Better Vid card or better Proc?
Immortal replied to HawkBoy's topic in Hardware
go for the better video card, the CPU cannot offset a better GFX card, ever, a good GFX card has too many advanatges.... -
obviously the X800, no doubt about it, if you can get the money go for the X800XT, you get 16 pipelines as opposed to the X800's 12. The 9800 series is still good 9especially on the bang for buck factor now), but comparing performance, the new X800 series blow them away....
-
there you go then, as i thought 9500Pro!
-
9500 Pro would be slightly faster i think, if you overclock it a bit it will be even faster. The only sure fire way is to test them however... since they use identical drivers, just swap them out and run some benchmark like 3D Mark 2k3 or 2001SE or Aquamark.
-
Apparentley the lower clocked and 12 pipelined ATI offering that they are bringing out (X800 Pro) comes very close to the 6800 Ultra, which has 16 pipelines, imagine what the X800XT can do, which is a full blown 16 pipelines higher clocked design... i cant wait!

It works no problem with my DVD drive, i have concluded that my CD-RW and Windows 2003 just dont get along.... Thnx for all your help though, Immortal
-
you misunderstood, this STILL happens well before Alcohol is even installed, it happens on the first windows bootup after installation.... It has been proven to work with 2K3, as other beta testers are using it fine.
-
Hey alec, This happens right after Windows install, as in the second windows installs, if there isnt a CD in the drive it wont logon. No matter WHAT profile, Administrator, My profile or my brothers it refuses to logon. After username and password it hangs there and when i try to logoff via Task manager (which still is accessible) it says "explorer.exe is not responding". Unplugging the CD-RW fixes this or having a CD-R in the drive. An intersting thing is, that when there isnt a CD in the drive and i boot up, the CD-RW drive wont respond to anything when windows boots up, during POST its fine, when windows is on, it wont respond, it wont even open, just sits there. Sometimes after 5 minutes of pressing the eject button it may open. I had an IDE HDH fail on me, but have since re-formated and re-installed. This problem doesnt happen with XP, ONLY 2003, i have a dual boot setup. I think its something to do with 2003 not liking my CD-RW in some way. I do use Virtual drives because im an Alcohol 120% beta tester, but even before i load it on, this anomoly happens. Thnx, Immortal

i have a similar problem, but with mine Windows 2003 wont login unless theres a CD in my CD-RW drive. It all works fine if i unplug the CD-RW drive. But when its plugged up, after i enter my username and password, for some reason explorer.exe wont load... i have to restart and put a CD in the drive. Try booting the computer with a CD in the drive and see how it goes... And you can also disable Windows built in recording software by typing services.msc in the run dialogue box and then disabling it.

What year is Hellbender and what do the specifications say?

Try up[censored] windows and up[censored] to SP4, that will cause the Windows installer to also update.

Help I Stumbled across a e-GeForce4 Mx440 Graphix card....
Immortal replied to Clint_Eastwood's topic in Everything New Technology
It is better than the integrated Intel GFX yes. WHat you gotta do i think is disable the intergrated Video first, through BIOS and then boot via the other one. Or you might have stuck the video card in wrong. -
IDE drive wont make any difference i dont think, cause its still on the same ICH5R chip. The mothd you have mentioned is correct, update first with the Intel Chipset software utility, then the IAA RAID drivers and the Windows XP. Thats what i did...
-
The only reason Intel released the application accelerators iis that their Chipsets are newer than the OS's and therefore the OS cant recognize them and CANNOT use them properley. sflesch23, an attitude like that is called arrogance. The intel IAA is also a software package. Apart from bootdisk its also a software package so download that.
-
Have you tried the Intel Application Accelerators and the Intel Chipset Software Utility. Both of them combined is whats needed for Windows to work properley with the new chipsets, and will greater speeds.

Very impressed with my FX5900, let me explain ;-)

I dont see where ur getting the FSAA and AA results from. The Radeon cards have ALWAYS been faster even with these enabled, over any GF-FX card and they have always been faster @ DX9. Im sorry to say that the Geforce FX series have been a complete watse for nvidia, bar the 5900 normal, Ultra and 5950 normal and Ultra. They still get squashed by the Radeon 9800 Pro and XT tho! -
yeah but netlimiuter also limits your network speed aswell if youre using ICS.

Hey all, I got a Dual Boot setup with XP and 2003 on different partitions, but whenever i try to logon with 2003 it does the following: 1)I type the password in 2) Starts to logon 3)Loads background (default blue) 4) plays widnows sound thats all it does. I can access TaskManager by ctrl-alt-dlt and look at the services but thats about it. Im thinking its something to do with explorer not working. Ive re-installed it 4 times, same result each time. The first time i logon it wokrs fine after every install, its the consecutive logons that fail. The thing is, if i mess around with taskmanager and remove some of the SVCHOST processes (theres around 8 ) it will continue to logon. It also logs on fine in safe mode. Im thinking theres a specific service possibly SVCHOST but im not sure, stopping it from loading explorer or something. But i dont know how to find it and disable it. Your Help would be greatley appreciated! Immortal
