    Radeon 9700 Pro

The only drawback is that u need a fast CPU to keep up with the card.... I would say get one of you have a 1.6Ghz P4 or a XP 1700+ or better CPU. If not it will still be ok, but the slower CPU wont be able to use the card to its MAX potential!

    Glide emulator for Radeon 9700pro?

if u got a radeon 9700 pro FPS should never be a problem, especially for diablo 2! Try it in D3D. Anyway, the human eye cant tell the difference between frame rates above 60, some people say that with a "trained eye" u may be able to, but its just the fact that the human eye has its limits in how much it can see....

P4 lost its heat spreader, what do I do?

CyberGen, here is the link, Look right @ the top: http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NDIy It tells us that "Our processor died in such a way that Intel expressed a great interest in the dead CPU, so we sent our dead 3.06GHz Pentium 4 off to the engineers at Intel for evaluation"

P4 lost its heat spreader, what do I do?

yes also @ [H] they used a vapochill unit to cool it, however becuase the unit strats to cool after the CPU it turns on the heat made it expans and the immediate cold made it contract so the spreader came off. they sent it to intel to and they got a shiny new one back. It seems Intel is VERY interested in the P4's which have their heatspreaders come off, they want to see what happens. Personally i would send it to intel and get a new one. Get in touch with them!

    MSI Motherboards (SiSĀ® 655 MAX-MS6730)

AGP8x 8x will only give you a speed boost if you have a low amount of GFX RAM, say 32MB... Since all current GFX cards have 64/128 and even now 256MB, then 8x has really no point becuase even Unreal II doesnt need that much textures. the only scenario when 8x will become useful is when a game is so advanced that it needs to use 128MB RAM every tenth of a second for textures and then AGP 8x's extra bandwidth will be able to keep filling up the memmory. Its also been shpwn, there isnt muich difference between 8x and 4x. Stick with 4x, save some money, wait for canterwood/springdale....

    MSI Motherboards (SiSĀ® 655 MAX-MS6730)

Well, its dual Channel DDR333, AGP8x, all the trimings of the Intel Granite Bay chipset except that ONLY the B revision has Hyperthreading support. I would personally wait for intels Springdale/Canterwood 800FSB offerings later in spring! 8)

i had the same problem with windows XP. Does it happen in a network game too? I think if you update the game it should work, and maybe disable some background apps....

  15. Hi all, i was wondering how i can limit internet bandwidth with my bro's computer in our network using ICS. I currently have a 512/256 connection and i want to limit my bro to only 120/40 (its not fair but that translates to 15KB/s downloads and 5KB/s uploads). How can i acheive this? Is there some setting that allows me to reserve so much bandwidth for myself? Thanx!

    THANKYOU SIR!
  19. Well, i found this link roday, it seems SiS have already given some hints as to whats gonna happen. Good thing bout this is that it supports Dual DDR333. This means that theoretically the MAX bandwidth is gonna be 5.4Gb/s. This is much better since it gives us OC'ers better OC results. ENough of the chat, heres the link SiS 655 Mobo Sorry guy, this link wont work....its been censored for some reason.....? ;(

    3DFX + GeForce = GeForce FX ?? Hmmm

Ok, i saw this over at megagames: Quote: As far as speculation about the name is concerned, nVidia chose the FX as a tribute to 3DFX, whose former engineers played a large part in the production of the new card but they will include a 5 in the model number. The 5 will indicate that the card is the fifth in the GF range. The first card to be released, although not officially announced, will be called the GeForce FX 5800 and will cost a mere USD 399, same as the GF 4 TI4600 did upon release. If you think that's high-end then consider the reved-up up version, the GeForce FX 5800 Ultra, which will set, its lucky owner, back USD 499. nVidia with a Hint of 3DFX!

    Athlon MP 0.13 Micron Architecture?

Come on guys THINK!!! L1 bridges are for Multiplier unlocking!!! L5 bridges are for MP's. The athlon XP IS the Athlon MP without the L5 bridges joined. uts have a look for a tutorial. If you connect L5 bridges the CPU will NOT become unlocked.
