Hi, I have been sharing my printer on my wireless network by enabling Netbios over TCPIP. I was told that enabling netbios over tcpip is not a secure idea. An IT friend said that I can share my printer through my IP? He was in a hurry that he didn't explain it in details. Does anyone in this forum know how? I know that the safest solution is a print server but if there is another way... Thanks for your help. By the way, all computers are Windows XP's. Tom

Sorry for the delayed response. I have the printer connected via USB and when I ran the rundll, it couldn't find the printer. Maybe I have to connect it to the parallel port? Thanks for your reply Alex. Tom

Hi, I have installed a game under a user with Admin. privilege. The user with limited account cannot run the program unless he right click on the icon and select Run As.. I remember setting up the Administrator to keep the files private. How can I make limited users to run the program or games without having to Run As..? I tried running regedt32 and set permissions on the programs to certain users but it did not work. Running Windows XP Pro with latest patches. Thanks for your help. Tom

Hello everyone, I have been looking around for a router that is able to support Fiber to home internet connection with Winfirst.com with a 10 mbps rate. Basically, there is no modem hooked up. I used to have SMC barricade 7400 which worked well with @Home cable with a 1.5 mbps rate. When Winfirst installed the fiber optics through my router, the connection speed dropped to .035 mbps The Winfirst people claims that most routers are not fast enough to support the blazing speed of fiber optics so I had to disconnect my router. Recently talked to a tech support and said that there has been reports that an auto sensing 10/100 router will probably work. Any recommendations? I would like to network the computer I'm about to build and I don't want to have to pay for an extra IP. Sorry for the long post and Thank you very much in advance. Tom
