Ive pulled evrything and reproduiced the crash, so im sure its hardware, and rotated my ram and produced same crash with all different ram, so it inst the ram sticks themselves. whT I am hoping for is someone will know an app that can show me which driver is running at this particular address, which is same everytime 0XDFDDD5E8 thx for the reply.

I tried compatibility mode to no avail. Any suggestions? the game section here lists hexen 2 as wrking on win2k Dual P 3 800, 640 MB, ram, ATI radeon, SP2 all uupdates and compatinbility updates installed.

it actually starts fullscreen, then when i click the "install" button, ntvdm crashes.

NTvdm handles the installer. Win16 installer perhaps ?
