Do you have another web browser installed, such as netscape?, if so maybe that's the problem.

Hi, i dunno what app is causing this, but when i'm not doing anything on my Pc, i noticed that some app was writing something to the HDD (i saw that little red led flashing several times), so i opened the task manager and checked that there are two processes that start using CPU resources only when the system is supossed to be idle. These are the names of the processes: "cisdaemon.exe" and "cisvc.exe". I know i'm viruses free, so i guess it's some app, and wonder if any of you knew that. (it's already bothering me)

this is happenning in one of my job's workstation i've found this very interesting and decided to put it here. the issue is that when i try to logon hotmail, the IE gives the error "the page cannot be found, bla, bla..." and passed 1second it closes; completely crashes i think this happens whenever the sign-in is related with .net passport (as msn chat, groups, hotmail), i've deleted all cookies, reset web settings, tried diferent security levels, deleted temporary internet files, and nothig seems to work. i hope someone helps me (i don't want a fresh windows installation)

Something like that happened to me a time ago, the answer??: there's a service in windows xp which confirms the signatures of windows files and new files you're installing which was not started. Go to the RUN window and put in there "services.msc" (without the quotes) and be sure that the cryptographic service is running Ok. Hope it helps.

I guess he really wants to finish the game....it's paradoxical 'cuz i want to get a geforce4 (the graphics with geforce2 are dissapointing me with this game) cuz my video card is too little for this game. Anyway, let's see if I can spend more time playing the game with this poor graphics i'm getting...

Well, i'd say i have a different vision about it; maybe eny of those suggestions work for you, but on my workplace, they're reseller of HP, COMPAQ.....products, so we have to deal with this Pc's, most of them HP pavilion, and we noticed that whenever we right click on desktop, it took forever to open the submenu. At this point you'll ask me how did we solved this issue, well, we didn't want to spend much time with this refurbished Pc's, so a fresh installation, without those app's that brings the pc from the manufacturer, solved the problem for Us. Ain't the easiest way, but still good, just in case.

HEHEHEHE, now that i think about it, it was pretty obvious ....j/k

Hi, would u believe me if i tell u that i dunno how to enable cookies in Winxp Pro. Well, i have done almost everything (i guess there's something left, obviously) such as reset web settings and so on and none of this seems to work, now i can't logon onto any ".passport" site nor IGN boards. Hope someone helps me, i think this is very easy for u guys.

The curious fact is that i disabled the indexing service for my HD, but it's still loading. Anyway i'll just leave like that, but i don't like to see any "HD's flashing lights" when i'm not doing anything on my Pc. See ya'.

Well, i´ve heard about silent hill it is so damn scary, but going out of Pc games, i have to say that Residen Evil for gamecube is the scariest one i have ever seen.
