Vista problem with D-Link wireless
Sandstorm replied to nelsonm64's topic in Everything New Technology
I had the same problem with the DWL520 and all I did was use the XP drivers and it worked! -
I have the french language version of Win98 installed on my computer and when I tried upgrading to an english version of Win2K it said that it couldn't since it was of a different language. Is there any way of going around this? And I don't want to have to format and then install.

I'm running Win2K with IE5 and the last 5 pictures won't load on that page so I guess it isnt a IE6 thing.
-
I never liked IE6. It wasn't stable at all and it would perform an invalid function at least 3 times a day. That's why I still use IE5

What do you consider the best computer game ever made?
Sandstorm replied to pr-man's topic in Slack Space
My list according to category: Sports: NHL98 and Hardball 5 (spent too many years playing those two games) FPS: HL + CS (too many sleepless nights spent AWP-ing) Simulation: SimCity 2000 and The Sims Racing: Need for Speed 3+4 and as an old favorite Test Drive III Adventure: Anything from Sierra before '95 (Space Quest, King's Quest and Quest for Glory games) -
I was wondering if you have ever tried to get the DOS baseball game Hardball 5 to work on Win2K? It won't let me install it. P.S. Could you please send me your huge list to me? hit4cycle@hotmail.com THANKS

Now that SP3 has come out for W2000, I decided to install the newer application compat toolkit (2.5) but however when I try to install it, it says that this program needs a 32-bit version of Windows. I thought that all Windows since Win 95 were 32-bit, especially Win2000. Does anyone know whats going on???
-
Download the 2.6 version of the Application Toolkit and that will work with Win2000 SP3.
-
Hmm I had no idea they came out with version 2.6 of the Application Toolkit. I was able to get it to work with my computer. Anybody else have this version?

Right now I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro running Windows 95 and I want to upgrade it to 2000. How do you think W2000 could run on a Pentium 200 MHz computer with 64 megs of RAM? Will be really slow or liveable?
-
The funny thing is that I reformatted my computer tonight, installed Win2K and right away installed SP3, and still it won't let me install the Toolkit 2.5 for the same reason that I don't have a 32-bit version of Windows. Go figure...

But why would it think my Windows isnt running at 32-bit??? Are there any settings where I could see at how many bits it really is at?
