  1. Hi all I'm trying to run a game called Ascendancy. It's from the DOS/win95 era, the publisher is still around (http://www.logicfactory.com), but they only have 1 patch out, and I am unable to install the patch. My problem is I cannot run the game because it's unable to locate my VESA driver. I am running win2k, SP2, with a GeForce 2 ultra video card and the latest drivers. I've checked around and couldn't find much for VESA drivers except some universal vesa prog that was pretty useless. I installed the windows compatability update as per the FAQ, however I still do not have a compatability tab when I click on properties for some reason. Some other people seem to have encountered this problem also. Anyway, I also downloaded the application compatability toolkit and tried to run it under win95/98, but that also failed to work. I'm just about out of ideas here, is this game a lost cause or is there some way to get it to work? I'd be grateful for any help.
