yea im curious. i couldnt get janes f-18 to work under w2k when i called em they said they dont support nt

mine is default at 2.2ghz and 1.5 volts but they run really hot #1 120f #2 128f thats after several hours of wolf. it's tons hotter than the p3 but intel says the max temp for them is 180f

true, i use em to see if a tweak was better or worse i liked wintune... simple and stable it also included graphics so i could check right after i instal the newest nvidia drivers that come out every couple a hours

i just bought a ton of computer stuff from micro-pro like 1500$ worth everything came in on time and in very good condition.

i also noticed that same problem. the registry thingy works but also w2k seems to have permissions problem i have fixed many of the problems by resetting the permissions

on your wolf cd there is a gl dir open it and install the gl that'll fix your prob

i have bad joo joo when it comes to new versions of direct x remember to reload all your video and sound drivers after u put in a new version of dx

from personal experience i have had a virus infect a mcafee machine (updated of course) where the norton stopped it.

any norton product that is compatible im using corp 7.0 works well symantec makes good stuff

i heard those things run a little warm maybe check the hs/fan to make sure it's on correctly they dont make em easy to put on also the "pad" that most factory hs/fan come with isnt always the best that arctic silver stuff fhas always worked well for me -
i always see comparisons between single processor amd's and intel's anybody ever see a multi processor report?

admiral i was fortunate to be close to the source during this time. w2k was originally envisioned to be business class software only. it was going to be even more unfriendly than nt4.0 to the average computer nerd. then ms entered a marketing research campaign and figured out there were tons of peeps just like us who want a MAN's os at home. then after w2k was released the home popularity was astounding. ms abandoned 9x based os's (me and that kinda crap) in favor of a home version of xp. 3 cheers for ms
