The problem appears only when i am trying to install a prog or a freeware in my pc .Most of that programs like acrobat reader , or other give you an exe file that contains the set-up and launches an install wizzard . Most other exe files seem to work fine. 1 .Suppose it is the virus that it is mentioned how can i check it ? 2. To Christianb: It sounds reasonable as it mostly happens during installation.The only think i would like to know about service pack 3 is : I have to downloaded it and run straight forward or does it needs anything else ?

The last 2 months i am facing a problem with win 2000 . I can't install any program in my pc at all . That has happened already with Acrobat reader ( i 've tried 3 different versions fron 3 different sources ) ,games ,other programs provided as freeware in several sites like tucows etc. First of all i can't install their set-up exe files . As soon as an install wizzard appears in the screen the set-up stops suddenly. I am taking error messages conserning dll files missing and similar notices . Another error message that i am seeing in my screen says " can't find the ..path to that file ,or file missing from program files , dll file missing can't be found in C:\WINTT\system32 .Yesterday i got this message during a set-up " No space on drive The installation requires 1593 k bytes Drive C: has only 1054248 k bytes of free space Continue anyway ? I hadn't similar problems with win 2000 before ( i am using win 2000 for more than a year) At the beginning i was thinking that the particular file that i was trying to install had a problem itself .But after several set-up attempts with different programs i think that there should be a problem with win 2000. Can anyone help ? What seems to be the problem with those dll files ?Is there any service pack from microsoft that solves this problem wthout further conflicts ,mulfunctions ? Thanks in advance

I agree it is even worse . Their online support suffers too.I am still waiting for their reply.... for a couple of weeks . They usually sent a vague reply advising you to see the FAQ section ,where there is no solution to the problem .Imagine i am working my logitech camera using soft from another company !!!!!!! ,which works fine .The vid photo quality is below medium .I think i ll soon buy a new one . The Kodak item you suggest seems to be a good buy .How about the photo, vid quality ,is it clear enough ?

Now the cam is on but i have no soft to work ,download take a shot the file recomended from logitech for that purpose is unwilling to run .

Thank you both for your answers . Sampson you suggest a win 2000 update I 've searched for the latest download releases and i haven't found any related stuff . I think it is more likely to be a software confict between win 2000 and quickcam.exe rather than a usb driver problem .Have you any particular downloads in mind ? Uykucu it is fine as far as it conserns the brightness and similar sets . Is there any similar ways to download a vid or take a photo as it happens in the set of tools program ?

I was working my quick cam express (Logitech item )under win 98 and i updated my pc to win 2000.I 've downloaded the update software from logitech www.logitech.com and istalled it . The cam is well recognized by my pc and works well with netmeeting too.The problem is that i can't launch the set of tools window .It is the main cam program that helps you adjust your cam (light contrast colour) create photo albums ,take and save photos vids etc (as in all cameras) . It has created a shortcut which is supposed to run the quickcam.exe .I am clicking on that shortcut but nothing happens .What is odd is that it seems like it tries to open but it fails .I have tried to activate directly the quickcam.exe which is in a file in my C: but the results are the same . I 've contacted with Logitech support and they informed that i might be helped if i check for win 2000 updates ,downloads . Can anybody help ?It doesn't seem to be with the camera -drivers -usb,connection because my pc recognizes that my cam is being installed

The game works fine but my steering wheel seems to be unwilling to communicate ( altough well connected and calibrated).Someone has mentioned a "QFixApp" where can i find that and do the adjustments
