That link is to Majorgeeks, and that's what brought it on. I joined, and they were pretty harsh to me, because I put a thread in the wrong forum. ;( I took it the wrong way. The head guy there posted in a thread that a mod closed, and I couldn't reply to it, and it had some things in there, that I really didn't take kindly to, so I left. Partly my fault, partly theirs.

OK, so I have a bootleg copy. In another thread, someone was saying that they couldn't run windows update. Is that because they added SP1? If so, I may have to change my key, very easy to do since they are written on the side of quite a few cases.

I use Nero, works great.

Game Dir is 75.3 MB, 366 files, 13 folders. If I remember right, it was an .exe file, that extracted it all out, and I had to add the registry key.

nah, didn't buy it. Grabbed it off of Kazaa. How big is the peformance patch, and where can I get it? Any idea? BTW:That knowledge base article is about going into standby with a D3D program running.

I have a ME/XP Corp dual-boot. When I hibernate in XP, (Can't in ME, don't care, it sucks anyway) it automaticcaly boots up to it. Is there any way that when XP is hibernated, I can still boot to ME, and not delete the restoration data, so the next time I boot in XP, it comes off of Hibernate?

What's this .NET thing? An advanced version of XP? Or an early test version of the next OS?

Well, this is my parent's box, and I refuse to use ME, so I pu XP on it, so we both could be happy.

I just put XP Pro on a little while ago, and it runs really nice. I had a Lucent Win Modem before I upgraded to 2000 Pro, and it wouldn't work right. So, I put this modem in, and it works fine under ME and 2000, but not XP. It will connect, but it does it all screwy, and it connects slower than normal. ATM, I have a Dual-boot of ME and XP Pro. Someone told me to see if the Win Modem will work, and I will try that later, but does anyone know of anything else that will help? Any help is appreciated.

Nope. It does the same exact thing that it did to me in 2000. It starts to dial, then the system hangs, and it sits at the Verifying Password part of it. this one works OK, but it is very screwy, and I don't connect as fast as normal.
