I had that prob and fixed it. It just needed Windows to be reinstalled. I reinstalled it using the non-destructive feature(so I would not have to reinstall all of my programs). It happened because of a faulty driver or drivers(no that is not an error) that I I download from M$ Windows Update. Dam, ;( Windows M$!!!!!

I would buy Kingston memory. It might be a little bit more expensive but it is worth it. It is good quality memory. If I were you I would upgrade the memory to the MAX that is possible. Is especially good for speeding up shutdown and startup of games.

Is there any specific accelerator or tweak program that is especially designed for Athlon T-birds? If so please let me know. Thanks.

I need to reinstall Windows and I need to know how to backup the registry because I do not want to put all of my tweaks back into my comp. Is there a good, free program or another way to back it up? If so please tell me. Thanks for your help. 8)

I guess I will go out and buy SystemWorks. I do not want to but, it will be good for other things seeing it comes with other programs. Or maybe I will go to eBay and buy and older SytemWorks for cheap! That is a good idea. 8)

I tried ERUNT earlier from www.majorgeeks.com and I opened it. It backed it up but when I went to install the backup registry it would not open. I am opening up Windows normally and I am logged on as the adminstrator. I do not have a boot CD for XP. It was installed on my system when I bought it. I just have the boot disks that I made from a program that I got from MS.

I have put my HP XT-983 to sleep and when I want to get it to wake up it says that Windows was shut down because of physical memory dumping? I have sent an error report to Microsoft several times regarding this issue. It says on the OCA website that it is due they think it is regarding software or hardware that is installed on my system. I formatted my hard drive recently. Before I formatted it I did not have this problem. I had the same programs installed before as I do now?

I bought a new 256mb stick of RAM and replaced the one that I previously put in it. I left the one that came standard on it. Now with the new stick of RAM the hibernation and stand-by works! YAY!

Ever since I have Win XP I do not format as often because of the great new feature. System Restore. On Win 98 it was like every few months.

Does anyone have the X-teq 6.2 Setup that they could send me. It is taking to long (on 56k modem {Soon to be DSL} )to download on www.majorgeeks.com and www.xteq.com. Finally got it downloaded! Xteq is a very good tweaking program. I like it! 8)

I am never going to try to download drivers for a device from Windows Update again!!! They screwed up my computer. :x

When is the new version of the site that is going to have the control panel going to be out? That was a great feature that I miss. That is one of the main reasons I do not like the new site. ;(

Yeah, I have heard of IRC. I do not want to download it because of spyware. I just thought that they would have one that you could just go on like they do at www.tweakxp.com . And, NO this is not my first comp. I have had plenty of comps. before, for your information. I have Internet Explorer and Windows Messenger, ICQ, MSN Explorer (I am on it right now!), and all of that other junk. I do not like the chat programs because they put that spyware crap on your computer and they slow down the comp. I have my comp. tweaked up pretty much as far as it will go. I know more about computers than what you think! I know more than what some people do. ;(

I do not like it. Where is the User Control Panel? When I wanted to change my signature it wouldn't let me have more than two lines. Please vote @ my poll about the new site in the Others forum.

If you have any third-party tweaking programs that might be the prob. If so uninstall them. I had problems with tweaking programs doing this before. I unistalled the tweaking program and it worked.

I like the Sun Java. You might have Java Virtual Machine but, you still need Sun Java for some programs to run.
