I believe this might be what your looking for. Go to www.windowsxp.nu and go to the downloads section. Look on that page for the properties extender (something like that). Install it and restart your comp. Go right click on an icon and go to properties. You can put comments, titles, and etc.

Also to make your text bigger or smaller. Press the CTRL key while moving the scrollwheel of your mouse back and forth. That makes the text bigger or smaller. You have to be in Internet Explorer or any other internet browser to do this.

That might be the problem but, I do not think that is it because the stand-by and hibernation worked before I formatted the HD. I have a memory status checker and it says that the DIMM that I put in it has an error on it. Maybe that is the problem. I put some of my memory that I had in my old comp. in someones elses comp. and the comp. did not boot up. It was the right memory. It just did not like it. Will let you know any other information that I find out.

Go to http://www.cronosoft.com/download/index.htm and they have a freeware program called XP Visual Tools. It has an option about customized files. Just disable it through that program.

I have the same prob. and my keyboard has the internet pad to launch the web and etc. All it does is bring up the connection wizard. I have tried numerous times to get it to work. Maybe one day I will find out how to do it.

Can you have two operating systems on one hard drive? Can it be Windows XP and Windows 95/98? Can it be the same format? NTFS is what I have now. I have two 40GB hard drives. Would that help?

You mean that it does not install it when it is required to have it with MSN? It is still not there? It says that it installed it. When I click on it in start menu it does not say that it is looking for it. It just does nothing.

If you are overclocking your comp stop that. That often makes the computer unstable. It did it to my Athlon.

I unistalled Windows Messenger but, I found out that MSN Explorer needs to have it to connect to the internet. I disabled it before I uninstalled it and when I installed it again it was still disabled. Does anyone know how to re-enable it? Thanks in advance.
