Actually with most RAID controllers it's best practice to install the driver before the hardware, this should be documented in the RAID card installation manual.

Multi-home PC in two domains - how does DNS lookup work?
adamvjackson replied to john.johnson's topic in Networking
I would suspect that you would need two gateway metrics, and one set as the default. -

Sounds like you have a corrupted registry/profile. Do you have any other accounts on this PC thru which you could gain access? -

Start->Run->sfc /scannow Be sure to have your original installation media nearby. Usually, this is your Windows 2000 CD. -
2000/XP need exclusive access to the partition in order to run a chkdsk /f (or /r, if in the recovery console). This is so that it can properly unmount any files in use. It is expected behavior.

Sounds like your DNS is properly configured; this may be obvious, but have you installed SP4 and any/all hotfixes available?

I assume you have Outlook 2000 installed in "Corporate or Workgroup" mode? If so, can you try deleting the profile and recreating it?

I think most every other ID game has allowed mod making, so I would be *very* surprised if there wasn't that functionality. -

While I'm not sure on Incredimail's local mail store, I would suspect that it has become corrupt, and only the index is remaining, that's why the header is intact. Can you try moving/renaming the local mail store file(s) and send a few new test messages? If I am correct, then there is the possibility that existing emails that the user has saved may be lost. Perhaps an Incredimail user can chime in, though. Good luck

Is the NT 4 server using WINS to resolve Name/IP addresses? Have you enabled WINS on the client/workstation TCP/IP stack settings?

The biggest win for propaganda was convincing the general public that it didn't exist... That said, I think it's important people watch this film, as they have been bombarded by the current administration's propaganda.

They are no longer for the people, as you (and I) were taught. America is becoming less and less of a democracy. Our rights are being lost daily, and those who appose are being silenced by either lawsuits or legal threats (think RIAA/MPAA, etc.). What happened to the Constitution? What happened to the Bill of Rights? It seems that politicians need a reminder. Their job is to serve us, it's not our job to serve them. -

Mr. Moore's crapumentary was filled with half truths and flat out lies about Mr. Bush. Everything that man claimes can be proven wrong if checked on. The democrats are not going to do that because they want to believe all of the garbage. First, I am a registered Republican. Second, I am sure our "President" didn't legitimately win the election. Third, you state that everything can be disproven if checked on, but according to what sources? Can you, without ANY doubts, completely trust the propaganda that the government has inundated the american public with? I can't. Finally, I'll do my best to ensure that Mr. Bush doesn't get elected this term. Note that I didn't say re-elected. And I do realize that arguing about politics on forums is about as useless as anything else, but maybe, just maybe, I can get someone to open their eyes to all the BS. -
how do i reboot XP daily at regular times - automatically!
adamvjackson replied to grahamg's topic in Software
Why use untrusted 3rd party code when there is the functionality in Windows? Using Task Scheduler, create a task (repeating daily, at your desired time) for the following: SHUTDOWN -r -t 01 More information can be read here: http://aumha.org/win5/a/shutcut.php http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=317371 Note that the Microsoft KB article refers to Windows 2000, but the SHUTDOWN command has the same functionality as the Windows XP version. -
Not sure on the current USD/AUD conversions, but it sure seems less expensive to purchase the "Gold" package with AOE2 and The Conquerors, but as you said, you do have an existing license, and had you made a backup copy (which according to US law) you're entitled to, you'd be fine anyway.

Cd-Burner XP Pro: Anyone tried it? How's it working for you??

http://www.burnatonce.com/ Try it, you'll like it. I switched to that after Nero started including too much junk. -
Cheers, Pkf, and hopefully you'll decide to hang around the forums for a bit...
