This has been circulating for a while now. Obviously not from Microsoft. -

If you're interested sometime, we'll have to find an open server for Enemy Territory... Just let me know when you have time, etc. That is, of course, if you're interested.

Have you checked for a driver update? Windows/OS updates? -
Do you recently try to install PowerQuest's BootMagic or PartitionMagic?

Quote: Action - IDSoftware, nearly/most anything they have done over time... Doom I & II, Quake I, II, III, Wolfenstein original & latest model too. APK, have you tried Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory yet? It's been the source of my wasted time, and lack of posts lately! Adam

Did anyone download NullSoft Waste before they pulled it?
adamvjackson replied to Christianb's topic in Everything New Technology
Quote: I think that may depend on what sort of legal arrangement Nullsoft has with AOL in regard to software development, seeing as the only real reason AOL bought them was to aquire the rights to Winamp. Also, depends if Waste was developed while Brian Frankel (?) was on the clock. -

I suppose the question is, nebulus, was the software legitimately released under the GPL? If a Microsoft programmer were to post some Windows code on the internet, saying it was GPL, would it be so? Don't get me wrong, I happen to agree with you, but I question how legitimate the release of the code and binaries was. -

Well, here's an interesting comment, take it however you wish... On the site now, http://www.nullsoft.com/free/waste/, you'll see that the exact filenames are given. With that information, you could do one of two things: 1. Google 2. Search at FileMirrors Again, I am not a lawyer, use that information as you see fit. -

Did you enable the WIA service? (WIA=Windows Image Acquisition, IIRC) -
There was a patch released today, you might want to try that. Try as I may, I have not seen a changelog yet. http://www.3dgamers.com/dl/games/riseofnations/ronpatch.exe.html That site, 3D Gamers, reports the version as 1.01, but after the patch is applied, the version is 1.14, for reference.

adamvjackson replied to abrarmalik's topic in Slack Space
I don't remember how I first came across that site, but it's pretty nice, if you cannot install any software that would do that locally. -

Or, you can go to http://www.network-tools.com/ and choose the email validation option. -
No problem... There has been several posts in the newsgroups listed above about bootdisks, and I think there's a MSKB article, too.

RTS fans, please do yourselves the treat of playing this demo this weekend... It is incredible! But don't take my word for it, try it! AOE2 was my favorite RTS game until I tried this, let me know what you think! The Rise of Nations homepage: http://www.microsoft.com/games/PC/riseofnations.aspx And the direct download URL (194MB): http://download.microsoft.com/download/d...ationsTrial.exe The reviews are coming in over at Game Rankings: http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/21740.asp And over at FilePlanet (I know, it sucks, etc.) the users are rating it a 4.9/5.0, with >1000 votes. http://www.fileplanet.com/files/120000/123437.shtml

No, it does not, although I've read that you can copy NTLDR and NTDETECT to a floppy to get a minimal boot disk. Might want to read some of the postings at news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.server.general and news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.server.setup.

Or install point release 1.32, as it adds backwards support thru 1.30 for demos.

If you've ever thought about switching browsers, you should take a look at this article.

NVidia 44.03, or NVidia Detonator 43.51? GeForce4 Ti4600
adamvjackson posted a topic in Everything New Technology
Well, 44.03 is WHQL certified, at least for the FX line, not sure about the ti4x00 line. I'll install sometime in the next few days (I have a Geforce4 ti4400) and let you know if the entire driver package is WHQL or just the FX line. -
