Did you try including the full path to the filename?

Actually, the INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE error usually means that the IDE/SCSI controller's driver was not (properly) installed. If you boot into the recovery console you may be able to install it, or perform an in-place upgrade and press 'F6' to manually install the controller driver before setup runs.

I seem to recall something about the 126GB limit...

Quote: Quote: My advice is to uninstall the Logitech drivers and go with the MS. I suppose doing that disables all those extra buttons on the jeyboard too? No, actually it just randomly replaces the letter 'k' with 'j'... I'm sorry, I just had to point that out...

CTRL+ALT+DEL with the currently logged-in user or admin credentials will unlock it.

Since some of the imaging tools (media reader, scanner, etc) may use USB, Windows 2000 would really be the only option.

Have you tried a newer version of Virtual PC? I believe 5.2 was just released. They are still offering 45 day free eval licenses.

Out of curiousity, I saw an article a few days ago saying how the new DivX player 2.1 would be 'ATI Enhanced' for removal of fuzzyness. Have you tried installing the latest DivX 5.0.3 codec/player? What videos are fuzzy exactly? Are they clear on other systems? OS installed? SP level? Drivers? DirectX? I don't have an ATI card here to try it with, so it's a bit of a shot in the dark. -
Seems to work fine; I've been using Phoenix for a number of months now, and Mozilla for a month or two before that. I don't recall any problems downloading files with either a space or a %20 UNC.

May as well throw this into the mix; Final Fantasy XI has an open beta currently. Don't remember the signup URL off hand, will look for it and post it later. BTW, there is both PS2 and PC versions for you console gamers.

Small, simple FTP server which supports Uploads' resume?
adamvjackson replied to ofelas's topic in Software
Bulletproof FTP Server allows resume of uploads... Had to download the manual to verify it, but it does! Bulletproof FTP Server Homepage Product Overview Download Link Hope that does what you need it to. -
IIRC, about:config in all but the latest Phoenix nightly's is broken.
-
A subtle hint, to use Phoenix... I don't think it's possible to do so with IE.
-
With Phoenix, you can add this line to the user.js file: Code: // Stop reusing active windows:user_pref("advanced.system.supportDDEExec", false);

Hey everyone. I'm interested in relearning some programming, and wanted some suggestions about what language I should learn first. I know there are some programmers that frequent these forums, so now's your chance! I haven't done any programming in about 7 years, and that was with Turbo Pascal (6.x?) for DOS. I am not initially interested in compiling anything for Linux, just Windows. However, it would be a nice feature if the language was either the same of similar on multiple platforms. I will be recieving a free eval copy of Visual Studio .NET 2003 from the Windows Server 2003 launch event at the end of the month, and unless I am mistaken, that package will include C#, C++, Visual Basic, and J#. I think that I would like to learn one of these languages, and I have heard great things about C/C++, so that would probably be my starting point. I don't really recall any of the language that I learned years ago, but I do recall some concepts, so hopefully the learning curve will not be too steep. I know that Java/J# will probably be highly recommended, but I am curious to the future of the language, with the ongoing litigation between MSFT and Sun, and what impact that will have on the language. Also, while I'm asking about expected life expectancy of the languages, I would like any input on other programming languages life expectancy as well.

Did you install new video drivers as many people have suggested, or just the OpenGL libraries?
-
Based upon the info provided, I suspect that you are correct, APK, about renaming the opengl32.dll in the Counter-Strike folder, because IIRC, MOHAA and JK2 are OpenGL games, not D3D, so the video driver is probably OK. Still a good idea to update to the latest driver, though, as I had mentioned above. Hope to hear how he's making out. Probably is a word I hate using when it comes to computers...

Before you buy a new keyboard, have you tried either removing the intellitype software or up[censored] it?

Don't worry about it. 8)

Have you installed current drivers for your chipset and video card? I highly doubt it is hardware-related, as it worked OK under Windows 98/ME. When you installed XP, did you perform an in-place upgrade, or did you format the hard drive and install a new copy?

Not sure if anyone mentioned this or not, but I'm about 95% sure I read somewhere a while back that MSFT had no plans of making IE 7.x, that the next Windows browser would be based off of MSN Explorer.
