It's here, I found it with little effort, after searching with keyword 'WINUP' FYI.

I thought I'd chime in with my experience in transferring of oem XP Home licenses. At my former job, we would swap out our bench machine with a new computer every few months. This machine was new, and had XP Home (OEM) on it. We wound up selling a client only the motherboard, cpu, and RAM from our bench pc (long story made short) and sucessfully transferred the OEM XP Home license, after a short phone call to a MS rep. Now, this was in the US, so it may or may not apply, but my final opinion is that for the price you sell it for, you'd honestly be better off not selling it. This way, you're pretty much guaranteed that this won't cause any headaches in the future.

Hollywood XCard...Any issues with Office XP (ctfmon.exe)?
adamvjackson replied to dcxman's topic in Hardware
Admiral LSD, could you be using a slightly different revision of the card? Perhaps there's some indication on the DV card chipset? If I remember correctly, you're both using the same driver version, right? Same updates applied to Office XP (SP2)? -

No problem, but I can't take credit... I was slipstreaming all my Windows 2000 builds last weekend, and remembered seeing that. -

Quote: I guess I'll have to try a fresh install with a slipstreamed install of XP SP1 from the Windows Update site. That's on Windows Update? I thought that .iso was only available to MSDN subscribers. -
Anyone know if this board/chipset is supported under any build yet? Thanks....

USB port or Serial port interface? -
Quote: Use a IE enhancement. My favourite is MyIE2. You get a popup killer, tabbed browsing and much more from this freeware. It is one of the best true freebies I've found in a long time... H. Thanks, I looked into this after reading your post, and if anyone else is interested, the homepage is here. Looks good, going to install now and give it a shot.

stop error with NV4_DISP.DLL plz help!
adamvjackson replied to Curley_Boy's topic in Customization & Tweaking
Try up[censored] the video driver first, also, try to check the GPU temps to insure it's within operating range. Do you get the BSOD while running games/3d apps? Also, try running some software that will test the memory on your video card, perhaps looping a benchmark will do the trick. -
Dual P4 mobo's - not Xeon - will they exist?
adamvjackson replied to Mr.Guvernment's topic in Slack Space
Even with Hyperthreading, there's still only one physical processor, and the system will be limited as such. It's my opinion that hyperthreading will really only make a difference in benchmarking... If a single program is using +/-90% of the cpu threads, it makes no difference which 'virtual' processor the threads are being processed by. -
Was this preinstalled on a new oem computer?

Or a few more points in 3DMark 2001SE, for that matter. [Edit] Not my machine, BTW, it's the only one I could find quickly without registering on their site. [/Edit] -

Thanks, DosFreak. INSTALL WINDOWS 2000/XP ON A MACHINE WITH LESS THAN 64MB MEMORY Edit the file TXTSETUP.SIF located in I386. Search for RequiredMemory Change this to 0. Save the file Now install Windows 2000/XP! *This only works with the DOS installation using winnt.exe Excerpt from DosFreak's Ultimate Slipstream Guide. -

Dcxman, Jerry Atrik, which service packs did/do you have installed when you had the problem? -
If you register with the CPP, you can get RC1 (currently) Enterprise Edition (both 32 & 64 bit versions) on CD for $9.95, including shipping.
-
You will need to reactivate it, but there shouldn't be any problems with that. The most complex issue that I ever had with MS was transferring one XP license from one machine to another, and that was handled with no problems.
-
I remember hearing that, too, a few months ago... :x

Do you have a backup image to restore to the new drive? If so, and all the rest of the hardware is the same, then probabaly not. Did you have XP home or pro? Was the partition encrypted?

Nvidia 41.03 exist and fix bugs from whql version
adamvjackson replied to Aragorn's topic in Hardware
The only problem I have had with the WHQL 40.73 (I think that's the right version number, I'm at work and cannot check) is with bad/missing textures in the Fellowship of the Ring demo. -
What board model and BIOS revision do you have?
-
Supposedly, by joining the L5 bridges, this allows the bios to detect the board as a MP processor. Quote: From what I have heard you just put them both on a dual board and in the bios make sure (if avail.) that the option to identify the cpus for MP is enabled. I've never heard this, and highly doubt it's true.
-
There's a video on Tom's Hardware that shows how to join the L5 bridges, thereby unlocking the multiplier. I do not know if this also enables the XP processor to be used MP.
-
I believe all of the Athlon XP/MP series processors are currently manufactured based upon the 0.13 micron process.
