Also, if you want good AI, there's a bot you can add to Quake 3 called Lakerbot that's quite realistic... Tracking based on sounds made by you, weapon selection based on what it estimates your health/armor to be, etc. I think it's still in a beta version, but it's still quite good, nonetheless.

Mr.Guvernment, the address for Promode is http://www.promode.org Also, off of that page is a link to Challenge-TV where there is a large database of game demos. I feel certain that if you watched a few demos, you'll realize that Quake 3 can be fast... Vanilla Q3 was 'noobed' up though. Coming from a former QuakeWorld player, Promode is the best I've seen...

Budious, I think your problem would best be solved by using QoS, Quality of Service. Check on the MS site for information on how to implement it.

I got this drive free after a cleaning of a server room: http://webpages.charter.net/adamvjackson/DSC00001.JPG These are the discs for it: http://webpages.charter.net/adamvjackson/DSC00002.JPG From what I found, this drive was really only released to east markets. A google search for the model number returned only 3 hits, and 2 sites were in an asian language. From what I have heard, this drive may have been used to backup a pbx voicemenu. Any input is gladly accepted. Note that each pic is about 800KB sorry if you're on a dialup modem.

First, you need to install and enable file and printer sharing. In windows 98, you open the control panel, choose network, the add button, add service, microsoft, and file and printer sharing. You'll need to reboot after installing this, go ahead and do so. When windows 98 loads, you will want to create some new shares. right click on a folder that you want others to have access to, and choose sharing. Set the permissions accordingly. On windows xp, this is a little different, but close enough where you can use the same directions. Also, if winxp offers to create a network disk, do so, and run that disk on each non-xp machine that is on the network. After doing so, you should have access to the appropriate shares. -
he heh. Yeah, thanks..

There is such an option, but is sounds like that option is off, which is just fine. I found an article on the MSKB that might be of some help. http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/defaul...eshoot_5e93.asp This basically says to reinstall the driver. Have you tried up[censored] the motherboard drivers yet?

Sounds like a problem with the TrueVector service. I'd remove and reinstall ZA to see if the problem is solved. But an anti-virus scan is always a good idea.. I'd do that first.

Machine Check: Regs in event viewer on boot
adamvjackson replied to Curley_Boy's topic in Customization & Tweaking
At bootup, do you get any messages from the system try, ie, take a tour of windows, windows update, etc? It looks as though that's what it's from. -
Wow... makes me wish I was young enough to enjoy those again.

Mandrake 9.0 and VMware 3.2 - dos it work??
adamvjackson replied to Ben-DK's topic in Everything Linux
Now that, I didn't know... cool feature. Was that added in 3.2 or was that present in 3.1.1? -
Clutch, http://www.linuxiso.org has distro-specific groups, running phpbb, if I remember correctly, and TBH, I don't think there's enough traffic here yet to warrant such a move. On the other hand, it'd make a great place to have some distro-specific faq's... Either way, can't hurt.

Also take a look at these threads. While not directly answering your original question, you can get some pointers here: http://www.ntcompatible.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=112199 http://www.ntcompatible.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21978
