It could sound like the Chernobyl virus. It corrupts all the .exe files on your harddrive. I had it once on my old computer and nothing on it worked.

I have the exact same problem as u have. Some how nice that im not the only one, cause i thought it was something with my hardware. I can like u play as much as i will but as soon as i exit it just hangs. war3.exe is also running in the background but i cant quit it. I dont get bluescreens but my screen just turn all white. My only option is to reboot the system. Because of that i actually stopped playing it cause it was annoying that i had to reboot everytime. I have emailed blizzard support but they dont know what to do about it. They just told me the usual stuff, update drivers etc. The weird thing is that it worked without problems in the beginning. I dont remember if it started after installation of SP3. I have the following things running in the background: Intellimouse drivers, Norton Antivirus 2002, Zonealarm, Asus Probe. Im using the 30.82 driver for my videocard. If u have found a solution plz tell me cause it annoys me alot not to play without a reboot.

Im putting this here cause it has a little to do with it and because it is a pretty simple question. Are u able to put CD/DVD drives on a PCI IDE Controller?? The specifik controller im thinking of is the Promise ultra133 TX2 IDE controller. The CD-drive i would put on it is an ASUS 52x drive. Will this work???

What does this mean. The Drive it is referring to is an ASUS 16x DVD drive. Most of the times when i get the error is when im entering "My Computer". I can almost tell when i get the error cause when it happens it takes a little longer than normal for the drives to show. I have tried new IDE-cables with out result. What could it be??? I thought about the drive but i have no problems with it at all.

yes, there is a CD in the drive. I have had the problem with this CD and a burned CD which also caused problem in another computer. I have played alot of DVD's in the drive which should be the hardest task for it to perform without any problem. Guess i shouldnt worry

I was playing Age of empires 2 over the internet through the zone. After finishing a game i return to the lobby. Suddenly my firewall pops up and tell that an application called LSA Executable and Server DLL (Export Version) is asking for server rigths. I clicked "no" cause i didnt know the program. Do anybody know what it is and is it ok to allow it to get on the net. I dont think its a virus cause i have norton auto-protect running in the background and it havent complained. BTW, im using fully updated win2k.

Yeah i found it in my Task manager. Would it be safe to allow it connection or shouldnt I allow it???

Well im quite sure it aint spyware. I looked for more info in zonealarm and it came up with this: http://pralerts.zonelabs.com/pralerts/pr...0f023f87c5e0f71 I also ran adaware just after without any results. After that i made a viruscheck and nothing got detected. Im not very concerned i was just wondering what that program were. I mean it could be some sort of Microsoft spyware watching what u are doing.
