The compatibility lists say that it doesn't work on WinXP, it actually doesn't look like it works on anything past Win 95/98. And the bad german translation Die Kompatibilitätslisten sagen, daß es nicht auf WinXP funktioniert, es wirklich aussieht nicht wie es arbeitet auf allem hinter Gewinn 95/98. Go Google

there shouldn't be anything wrong with MW4, I'd just make sure everythings updated. ie, video, sound drivers, and the game.

I had the same prob for a while, I had to log in as something else, or just give the account that I was using full access....sorry, can't member exactly how I fixed it.

if you're looking for free stuff, I'd say NWN if you're at all into DnD. If you just wanna have some fun go for Diablo 2. Personally I'd say if you haven't played either, play NWN and take a look at the toolset. Make yourself a module and put all custom stuff in there, equip it and off you go into the world.

I can install and run this fine, but maybe 1 min into the game it goes...umm, "blocky" I spose. "blocky": it seems like all the "sprites" get flickery and blacked out, to the point where basically the entire screen is flickering between black and the origanal colours. I can still move the mouse, and would still be able to play if I could see through the crazy blackness. Any ideas? *Basic system stats* P3 700 256 RAM Nvidia RIVA TNT2 Ultra (16mb I believe) That should be everything important

I've bounced around a couple forums and found that everyone using just about every OS is having some crazy problems with this game, even Xbox people, which is funny as hell. So, basically until they come out with a patch or something.....meh.

I'm prolly too late but I'd say Grim, if he likes comedy and Longest if he's a sci-fi/fantasy fan. concidering he's getting you to pick it out I asume that he's relitively new to the genre, and monkey is a real "hardcore" adventure game.
