Thanks for the fast update. Which java do I have to download. There are like 20 different ones. Shall I go for the fist one 'Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition'?

I had enough of Win2k as it started giving me more errors. Changed to WinXP Pro and work like a charm

On Ahead's official website there are 3 packages to download. One of the packages is just Nero Burning Rom which is only 20MB in size. Download it and use your serial to turn it from demo to full. The other 2 packages are all the extras. Hope this helps

My friend has this problem everytime she tries to open a website that uses Java. First it says 'Registration Failed' and then she gets this error: Quote: Java Plug-in Fatal Error Cannot load class sun/plugin/JavaRunTime The Bridge was installed at <C:\PRORA~1\Java\J2RE14~1.1_0> but the class is not there. Modify the registry key to reflect the new bridge location. The key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Plug-in or change your CLASSPATH to includethe new directory She has run Norton SystemWorks checkup and it has corrected some registry entries but it did not fix this problem. The message does say what to do but because both of us are not very advanced in computers we don't know how to do it. Can tell us step by step what to do? Thanks in advance

I get this error when I run Win2k SP3/SP4. All of a sudden I get the blue screen of death and it says something like 'Begining dumping of physical memory' or similar. The screen appears just for a second so I cannot read everything. I usually happens a few times a week and the computer just reboots. This only happens on Win2k. I run Win98/ME/XP on the same computer and and never had this problem. System specs: IBM ThinkPad A21m 750MHz 320mb RAM Does anyone knows what it might be caused by? What the problem is? ;( TIA

All m y drivers are updated, I turned off all the unnecessary apps which load up at startup, not using any sreensavers or wallpapers also got rid of most shortcuts on the desktop and it still runs slow. I found a website which tells you which networks functions you can turn off but it gives me an error message saying that these are critical functions which cannot be switched off.

I have recently installed Win 2000 Pro as I heard that it is faster than my Win98 i had previously. But i found that it runs much slower and often takes like a minute or so to open an app or change between apps while they are alredy open. During this time I can hear the HD working overtime. I defragmented, run Norton SystemWorks, installed RAM memory management programs but there is no difference. My system specs: IBM ThinkPad A21m PIII 750 20gig HD - Win2000 running on seperate 6gig partition 128 RAM Does anyone know why it is so slow and are there any ways of speeding it up. Any tweaks? Thanks
