Personally I would upgrade the RAM on your system first. Besides, I get blue screens from time to time playing Rise of Nations and I happen to have over 1 gig of ram.

The real heart of an overclocking system is the Power Supply. A 350 Watt power helps a 2400+ to 2205 Mhz Stable. I think you might want to give a bit more power. I know, I use to get a 158 Mhz FSB on a 1700+.

I happen to play alot of Medieval:Total War. It get really addicting.

Well the drivers look really good and run well in Win2k.

Oh well, no crying over this. A good chunk of the problem has to do with sanatation. Due to improper sanation in China, this modified Corona virus had a chance to spead. It's nice to know it's not airborne. So does this mean China needs to change the building code to force this from not happining again? Yes Hmm, the odd thing is why is Toronto having Deaths and not other Cities in Canada? Anyways, this is one thing that can go away.

Doesn't seem bad, I just hope that the compression ratio isn't horrible. It diffinally less than $13-15 a CD.

Hmm, then there is one more that I haven't downloaded yet.
-
Well there is now a second SP4 beta from the first one that was released. I have it downloaded but I don't have it installed.

There's nothing like having a Logitech MX 700. Awsome and you can get it for a little over $60.

Nope, but if you like free players Interactual is really good.

I personally like Sonic Cineplayer 1.5. It uses less ram and processor time than WinDVD and PowerDVD.
-
Hmm, your still using Nero 5.5.9.13. I say you might want to upgrade it to 5.5.10.20 first. If that doesnt work, try the rip it off via CDex or RazerLAME. Some time that work out better.

Either Norton or Trend. TrendMicro is a little easier on the system and there is a good chance that you'll have it on your mainboard's Driver Disk.

Quote: How are the Sony drives in comparison to the Yamaha and the Lite-On? If I'm not mistaken, the 52x24x52 Sony is a rebaged Lite-On. The Lite-On is going to be much less expensive and if you get 52x CD-R's it will burn them at that speed(CompUSA has Memorex 52x CD-R's).

The A7N8X doesn't have Soundstorm certification. So it's better to put an Audigy sound card in it,than leave it using onboard sound.
-
I conxur with adam, your drive has gone bad. Luckaly, good CD-RW Drives aren't all that expensive. Yamaha's 44x24x44 drive is good and so is a 52x24x52 Lite-On drive. If you have a lot of Multi-speed CD-R discs, the Yamaha is a good drive.

[quote="AlecStaar" !) Willard, from when I saw that as a youngster also, iirc, in 1971 or so, was pretty damn good! It even has a sequel called "BEN & HIS ARMY OF RATS" which was pretty ok too... APK P.S.=> Off to glance @ more of this flick, commercials are done now... still, would be good to hear a review of "WILLARD" if anyone has seen it also though... TIA! apk I think it only a remake of the 1972 Movie called Willard(Willard is the name of the rat). -

Quote: I think Canada is in the fortunate position of knowing we won't do anything to them, and also knowing we won't allow anyone else to do so. But if they increasing become more antagonistic, we will hit them in thier wallets. France will soon find that out. Well I do agree, we need to stop first by not buying any Canadian wood(largest export they have). While were at it, we should crank up production of oil in the Gulf of Mexico and boycott Canadian crude oil.

The KDS is nice but you can Flat Screen CRT KDS for not much more than than the non-flat screen CRT KDS Monitor. I can get one(XF-7B) at where I work(a Wal-Mart Supercenter) for $118.

Quote: Whats it like. I read the review on Toms Hardware and I am very impressed with these drives. I want one So far so good. I have as a NTFS patitioned HDD instead of FAT 32 partioned. It is a bit slow right now but I figure that it will speed up once I place SP 4 into it. I see how well that 8MB Cache 80GB HDD is when my dad places it in his system. I must say one thing it's a lot more stable with the Plus 9 HDD than it was with the D740X. -

Copernicus replied to Christianb's topic in Slack Space
Thank goodness for having Maxtor HDD's. There HDD are fairly close to the same speed but they don't have any recalls. Maybe the 8MB Maxtor HDD's will put them over the top as far as speed is concered. -
Oh well there's nothing like South Texas weather. Last year happened to be one of the rainest years on record. It's odd that we had over 41" of rain for an area that should only get 29 or 30" of rain a year. It odd have cold ice on the roads to having a 100 ° just a few weeks later.

Well I just got a 512 PC-2700 DIMM from Newegg for $59. I sort of like Kingston RAM.
