IE doesn't have a bookmark export function, you need to search for a 3rd party prog to do the trick. This works fine: http://www.magnusbrading.com/bmc/
I have a Coolpix 995 and it works flawless with RH 8, so I guess it will with any distro. I just have it mounted to /mnt/camera, the device on my computer is /dev/sde1
Just connect your camera to your computer and look it up in the hardware browser or something similar.

You do realize that you don't need to run this with KDE, right? All you need to do is install the necessary libs and you can run this in any window manager.
Yeah, i know that, but I prefer native Gnome programs.
Anyway, I found Firestarter and it looks goood/better and it also runs on KDE with the proper gnome libraries :-)
Well, you could try Libranet too, it's also debian based but with an easier installer. And if you pay for it, you get all the latest stuff, but you can download a trimmed version for free.
Personally, I use RedHat 8 and i'm pleased with it.
