In order to make the computer running 98 'compatible' with the one running XP all you have to do is put the XP cd in the machine running 98. Then install the networking components from there. Then just run the home networking wizard and that should work. Hope that helps you Tim

I purchased a Conexant ADSL router as a few house mates and i wish to share an internet connection. However a few of my house mates who are on the network nolonger want to share my connection. Is there some way i can provent them from gaining access to the internet via my router. The router is connected to a switch via RJ45 cable. All other computers are connected via this switch including myself. All the computers are Running XPPro/Home Thankyou for any help you may be able to offer.
