How about IBM's X-Series ThinkPad. You can even play the odd 3D game on it (16MB Radeon 7500)

End of next year is a very optimistic for AMD's 64-bit, I expect 32bit computing to dominate the market until 2005. You have to remember that even though Intel is playing down the role of pure 64bit computing, they do dominate the home and office PC markets. Moreover, AMD's 64bit can only dominate if there is sufficient 64bit software to allow it to fulfil its potential. WindowsXP 64bit edition feels to be just a stop-gap till Microsoft releases a proper OS that incorprates support for AMD.

anoying spam popups using messenger servie
Hood replied to WRX_Rocky's topic in Customization & Tweaking
If you're are a network it might to useful to have access to Messenger, however, it is annoying when you get spammers using it too. So simply activate the built-in firewall on the network connection that has access to the internet. That will stop the spammers. -
I thought the most amazing thing was how they managed to shot a ghost-town London.

Woohoo, a film that was released here in UK first. Well, OK, so it is a British film.

Hi, I'm not sure if any are out yet but you can try the following site which showcases some of the forthcoming motherboards. http://www.amdboard.com/opteron_boards.html As far as I know the only Opteron motherboards that is available to buy are the MSI K8D Master-F and the Tyan Thunder K8S. These are server boards so you might have to pay in the region of $500+.

Go to the ATI website, 3.4 is available for download.

Hi, You might encounter quite a few problems in replacing the motherboard in your Dell machine. Dell constantly design their own non-standard motherboards, thus, trying to replace or upgrade one is problematic. Most of the cable and pin headers are non-standard and more alarmingly the pinouts for the Dell proprietary "ATX" power supply is also wired differently. Which can be fatal to all standard ATX boards. You will have to change to power supply as well as the motherboard (that is once you've managed to find out that fits properly. -
X-Men ² : Anyone see this film yet? If so, talk ² me!!!
Hood replied to adamvjackson's topic in Slack Space
Hi, X2 is actually very good. The plot is somewhat slighty weak, but you'll be compensated by the lavish special effects which makes it a real joy to watch. Can't wait for Matrix Reloaded -
What video card and resolution are you running at?

Yeah you're right just had a look at it, all it does is remove the Desktop Icon, Start Menu Icon and any other shortcut to WMP. Looks like dcxman is back square1

The feature is part of Windows XP SP1, as Microsoft was required to do so as part of the anti-trust thing-a-midgets.

Hi, i haven't tried this but you could always give it a go. Fire up 'Add or Remove Programs' from the Control Panel and click on Add/Remove Windows Components. Windows Media Player is on the list of programs which can be removed. You could give a go and see what happens.

I suppose the Zalman Flower CNPS6000 is a good example of a near silent cooling solution for the Athlon. However, its only rated up to the Athlon XP 2600+ CPU. http://www.zalman.co.kr/english/product/cnps6000Cu.htm You could also try out the Coolermaster HHC-L61 Silent Super Heat-Pipe. Its not as quiet as the Zalman but it does offer a little more performace allowing it to be rated upto the Athlon 2800+ http://www.coolermaster.com.hk/product_d...p;product_id=12

Hi, you could have a look at Themaltake's SLK-900 http://www.systemcooling.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=401 I've seen several overclocking stores saying it is the best performance cooler for Athlon XP and Pentium 4s. However, it does come at a price and you have to buy your own fan to go with it.

Hi, For System Shock 2 to work on Windows XP you need to download the game update from irrational games. http://www.irrationalgames.com/shock2/files/shkpatch.exe

Hi, I had the same problem but with the Alcatel Speedtouch USB ADSL Modem. Before updated drivers were released for XP I had to use the "Safely Remove Hardware" feature within Taskbar otherwise the BSOD would appear with "IRQ Less or Equal" error. This didn't solve the problem it was just a workaround.

Can you imagine the what the World would be like if Microsoft was to do that.

With the latest Bios both the GigaByte GA-7VA and GA7VAXP will support AMD's 333Mhz Barton core. GA-7VA requiring the F9 bios and GA-7VAXP the F11.

I don't believe anyone on here has joked about the war. If you read the thread from the beginning you would see that the joke was Americans. War is Very Seriously and now very sickening especially with what comes out of Congress. Republican Darrell Issa makes me sick. Men and women and both sides of the Atlantic have given their lives to free the people of Iraq and all he thinks of is future US financial interest in Iraq.

It's funny how a thread that starts out as light humoured is taken so seriously by its target audience. However, I have noticed that we all seem to have something in common, the French.
