Contrary to what others are posting, the Gold version of Thief1 will not install on windows2k(sp3). The switch "-lgntforce" will not help either.
HOWEVER, you can install Thief1 (non-Gold version) with that switch and then "try" to update your installation. Otherwise, try to install on a win9x computer and copy the files over to win2k (even an emulator will facilitate this).
