    Need help w/linksys & XP

Very frustrated. Just added a Windows XP client to a Linksys router/wireless/access point network. I get it set up where all the clients (98, 2000, AND new XP machine) get connectivity to the router/gateway (ie. I can ping the gateway from all the clients). All clients receive their IP addresses from the DHCP etc.. "ipconfig" shows the right gateway/DNS server addresses. I fire up Explorer 6.0, I get connectivity for a few minutes, then the connection drops. All the other 98 & 2000 clients work just fine. The XP client can't even ping the gateway. Any idea what would cause the XP client to lose connectivity to the router? Keep in mind, it has connectivity at first, then it's gone. Is it in XP, IE6.0, router settings? I can reproduce this consistently. ;(

    Need help w/linksys & XP

Thanks to all who responded. Your postings led me down the path to investigate whether XP was having a problem with the adapter itself. Some sort of conflict, causing it to shutdown the adapter somehow. BTW, my adapter is an Orinoco USB adapter (not linksys). I removed all the drivers, downloaded the latest FW (w/ new drivers), reinstalled the adapter. reset the router and voila, I'm up and running. PS. I had the linksys BEFW11P1. Ver 7.66 latest FW from Proxim.
