  1. For some reason, nothing I do seems to work. I try the add/remove program in the control panel, and it shows that it is removing the latest Catalyst 3 control panel and I need to reboot. But when I reboot, it is still there! I tried deleting files and editing the registry, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? Even when I had my old GF 3 card installed for a bit, the ATi control panel still tried to run.
  2. I am WRX_Rocky, that is my home nick. I am glad you liked the info - I sure did as it worked! Perhaps one of you could add it somewhere as a "sticky" for others to have access too? And some of the info, like removing the Installshield folder might even help with other software.
  3. Quote: System restore. Try that That would be all fine and dandy IF I had just changed things. But, as I had gotten the newer ASUS A7N8X mobo and was very fortunate to get rid of the VIA 4in1 drivers and had to do some other things to get XP to run, it was not an option. It would have been burried too far back.
  4. Well, ATi Tech Support actually came in handy. Gave me a bunch of instructions, that although old, worked. Had to delete some folders, temp files, Installshield folders, go into SAFE mode and delete hardware, and then edit/delete some registry keys. Then I was able to reinstall everything and it now works! YAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!
