You're probably using a gray-box, not one from a specific manufacturer (i.e., Dell, Compaq, Gateway). I use gray-boxes and home-built systems myself, and this error occurs after the occasional system crash. Please check out this article from Microsoft http//support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;329284 This error is a Pentium chip error, and is most likely a hardware problem which is temporary in nature. My system crashes 1) usually when playing mp3's; 2) in addition, when there is an open socket to the internet using HTTP; and 3) when Outlook, or some other RPC-related program is in use. It is a very rare occurrance, but this error is most likely a memory or CPU error that you can't really do anything about. JB
