I have just got a new athlon xp2600 with a coolmaster fan suitable of more than XP3000 yet my cpu is overheating !! i have to run it at xp2000 just to boot. Can anyone recommend and have experience of a better cpu fan please? not too expensive!! Thanks RF

If the power goes off in the house i have to clamber into the loft to turn on the server again! is there a way it will automatically come back on when the power does? or is there a way i can turn it on remotely? thanks RF

i have got a wired network at home and have just got a laptop, i have connected the laptop via a cable but i would like to get the kit to connect it wirelessly !! What do i need? Im guessing a pcmica wireless network card, is there something that i can plug into the switching hub? to complete the connection? thanks RF

i am running on a small home netowkr connected to adsl through a sever. all puters have Zonealarm pro on. I am trying to ftp my website but i can't unless i turn off zone alarm on the server! How can i get zonealarm to let me through !! I tried ftping using IE on teh server and zone alarm asked me if it was ok so i said yes and saved it. But it stil wouldn't ftp the site! any ideas? thanks RF

i am running a small network of 5 computers on a workgroup setup, most of teh machines running xp the other running 98se. I would like to have the ability to stop some users using the internet connection that is shared at certain times. Is there some software that would do this? thanks RF

One of my pc's is running win2k, it is just a personal pc amd 2200 512ddr etc. when 2k is loading it has recently got to about 66% of the blue bar that goes across and stays there for a bit and then a min or so later it continues on its journey. I have not installed any new software or hardware before it started! any ideas what is causing this? thanks

I have the latest version of zonealarm pro on my pc. But someone has offered my their copy of Mcafee Firewall 4.0 as they where given it and don't want it!? Does anyone know which is better? i am using my puter on a mini home network with adsl ! thanks

Whenever i click on a link in Outlook it opens the page in an IE window that is already open! which is a pain as i am generally viewing many pages at once! and am still looking at that page! Is it possible to make it open in a brnad new window each time? There must be a setting somewhere!!!! im on XP thanks

ok i am looking at buying a usb 2.0 drive for my pc to backup onto. I also want to connect it to my laptop which has usb 1.1! Will the usb 2.0 device still work on the 1.1? obviously if it does it will only be at 1.1 speed but that is fine ! Thanks RF
