i have win xp and can't get power director working! i have tried upgrading direct X to version 9 but that didn't make any difference and i have tried it on my brothers machine with xp and no luck there either! anyone know how or why this is happening? thanks ;(

you know when you get some photos you get an index of the prints. is it possible to get a program to do an index of prints of a folder? if so what is it called and where do i get it! thanks all !!

I have a db that i use on my desktop but want to use it on my laptop without installing msacess really! is there a program that will allow me to run the db on my laptop? I know it is possible to get things like powerpoint viewers and stuff! thanks

i remember playing network ms hearts on 98 machines at college but can't seem to do it on XP machines at home on the network? any ideas!

Ok, This is what happens when i turn it on!... Nothing visual on screen for ages then wot you would expect appears and goes through the normal until it gets to the little white writing that says "starting windows 95" and then it goes back to the beginning agian ! and it does this 4/5 times at least b4 it boots! Then it goes into windows and all is fine! Then if you shut it down and boot up again it sometimes goes straight in! and otehr times doesn't! Spec is Win95 Cyrix 6x86Mx PR200 32mb 2.4gb seagate drive 24x CDRom Award bios V4.51pg bios version 09/14/97 - VXPro+ - usb - Ultr - 2A5LDH09C - 00 Battery fine, psu making sum funny noises but works ok. sometimes gets to start booting windows but stops and the next time you get the safe mode option. 1mb pci gc in there, ISA soundcard in there, modem pci in tehre, nothing major! is there a solution! or reason for this not booting properly! Tis rather irritating and frustrating but buying another pc is a bit expensive for this lady as she only really uses it to contact her children and grandchildren in canda from the uk! and thats bout it! anything i can try! I remember reading some where that when you have adsl the computer connected is limited to how far it can be away! i.e. the lead between the modem and the filter on the btsocket can only be a certain length! Is this right and can anyone tell me what the distance is? thanks

Champion_R: The only prob there is, i have an internal pci modem! so that is where the PC is!! thanks anyway! ReadError: Yeah i think there is a limit too. But im getting an oem modem and therefore it won't have a cablr with it!! any other responses? thanks

i am putting together a puter with an Asus A7s333 motherboard using an Athlon 1Ghz CPU but when i turn it on it just keeps beeping ! i started to count them as i know they mean somehting ! but i stoped at about 15!! i have tested the CPU in another puter and it is fine! and the memory i have replace and still no luck! any thoughts! or how i should have the mb set up? thanks

ok it is starting to look like a faulty mb as i only have the graphics card in along with hard disk. I have checked the mem and CPU and no change! i have tried resteating them! I have tried a new PSU and hd and gc so i guess the only thing i haven't tried is the mb! DOH

errm haven't tried flashing the bios, how would i tho? as i either get lots of beeps and go nowhere or just get a blank screen! any ideas?

yeah i have checked the memory and tried a different memory stick. I believe it is all at the right speed and stuff i am using DDR2100 mem with the 1ghz athlon is that ok? :x

agp gc is seated properly! now it turns on, nothing on screen no beeps but just sits there running! hmmmmmmmm help !!

The machine has not been over clocked in any shape or form but i will try the cmos. I have got hold of an old AT PSU which i will try out and see what happens! thanks for all your help !

no not a laptop. i was refering to the motherboard battery! power interuption hey! hmm only prob with that is it is prob the psu but it has the old connector! can you still get psu's with the old style connector! 8)

is there a program that will crack a winzip password !! Great ideas these passwords until you forget them ! cheers
