ok. Using the computer and XP decideds to shut down without warning, it just Shuts down. Any ideas y? Spec: AS7333, XP 2100, 512DDR2100, CDRW, DVD, 40GB HD, Radeon VE AGP GC etc, self built system. Any suggestions would be great, cus it is driving my girlfriend up the wall (her system !) Thanks

i had win 98 on a machine and when i shut it down it turned puter off as well but now i have upgraded to xp i have to press the power button to turn if off?!!?!?!?! any ideas why !! thanks

ok i know it is poss to sync a pda and desktop outlook but can i do it with my laptop and my desktop?? if so how?? (i dont actually know how to do it with a pda but i know you can !!) Thanks all in advaced RF oh i have outlook 2003 if it makes a difference !!

i have been asked bout a problem that when a puter is turned on it tries to dial the interenet but cus there is no pasword it does not connect ! Irritating .... !! any idea what it could be? i cant see anything obvious but....is there anything ppl know i shuld be looking for? cheers all

thanks for viewing the site, if i understand you rite then you should know that the site is not centered it is aligned to the left. not my decision i will add, i prefer it to either be centered or spanned acress screen !! but still !! if i have misunderstood you then please let me know along with the browser you are using and the version !! thanks very much RF

ok a win 98 computer has just updated internet explorer and outlook express however.... it now wont disconnect after send and recieve in Outlook Express also when i used to close the last internet explorer window it would say its gonna disconnect afa 30secs but it doesnt do that either!! can anyone tell me why? I have check the box to say dissconnect after a send and recieve!! any help would be really appreciated !! thanks RF

sorry more info.... rite dont want the pc to start up Win xp Pro with all updates (i beleive!!) MSN is the only messenger running but that has been running alwyas and this has only just started!! any other ideas?? thanks RF

Hello, i am a network noob. i have set up a small office network with xp etc but i want to use 2003server for a small network. But i need to know if it can do certain things so if someone could advise i would be extreamly grateful 1) restrict access to certail machines so that they may not use the interent (the server will provide access to the internet via ICS i hope) 2) prevent access of certain programs for certain users on the network (eg would i beable to ban things like msn messenger easily) 3)configure bandwidth 4)prevent certain users access to the internet but not the network resources 5)log what each user is viewing on the web and doing on the web etc is there any tutorials on the web that would be for a beginner/intermediate networker? that could help? thanks loads RF

The only prob is that i am trying to vreate the button but i am getting an error msg saying "Please fill in all form elements and select and icon" well i have selected an icon and i have filled in everything except the bottom bit which says ADD NOW but i have ticked the box but cant figure out what i am meant to do! but if i untick the box the button will creat i just dont know how to add it to the toolbar then could anyone advise? thanks

a short time ago i rebuilt my computer with a new motherboard. when putting it back together without thinking that there was already a NIC onboard ! So as it is in there i was wondering if there was anyway i could use it? my puter is running xp on a home network that is sharing broadband, oh and i am about 2mtrs away from the switching hub so running another cable is certainly not a prob ! any suggestions and how to's would be much appreciated thanks all

is there software that i can use to limit the amount of banwidth that each person gets. we have broadband and i would be able to limit the amount of bandwidth each user gets......is it poss? thanks oh yea all machines are running win xp pro

great we that should be ok, but errrm any idea where i can get some info on setting static ip's cus i tried on my system and errm it still changes, cus i think you have to set it outside the ip range of the server? but how do i know wot the ip range of the server is....... arrrrrgh sorry so many questions thanks for your help RF

i haven't had a chance to play with it much but i have got ICS on a server with no router just a hub so could i just install it on the server? i need to set static ip's i think tho dont i which i have had some trouble with..... thanks RF
