Hi all, Thanks for your last responses. I have to upgrade from NT to XP. I''m wondering if you think it is a better idea to simply get a new hardrive and do a new install of XP prof. , rather than upgrade. Will this be less problematic? And what about the BIOS on my Dell Optiplex - does that need upgrading too? I'm not too worried about all my apps and data. Thanks in advance. Oliver

Well, canadian it's 150 vs 300. So that's about double. Thanks for your replies. What about a clean install using Home edition?
