Try the recently released Fedora Core 3. It can be some hardware incompatibility.

Problems installing Fedora 3 on my laptop
souldreamer replied to albester's topic in Everything Linux
I had the same problem with FC3 and a similar one with MDK 10.1. Do like clutch said. Boot like this: "linux noapic" (without quotes) -
Because i like it and i want to learn linux. It's like a challenge. Microsoft have a big monopoly, i hate that. Like suing everyone and everythin. Not to mention the patents.

The error is: hda: min size request: 1024KiB hda: lost interrupt

I have a problem with MDK 10.1 Community too. When booting the CD to install, it shows a lot of lines all about hda and hdb (Can't remember the error message now). Can it be that problem that we have to boot with the second cd? BTW: I have a P4 2.8GHz, 2 discs, 1Gig of ram and a single DVD+/-RW drive.

I don't know if thats possible. I think the only way is the way you are doing.

It seems that the ISO is damaged in the server. Everyone who downloaded from there got a CD in RAW mode.

First i recorded at 40 x or something, then 24, then 16. I never made the test, thats a good point! I'm using a CD-R, i'll try to install on the same drive. Thanks for the tips! EDIT: The pc says the cd is corrupted (i putted it in the recording drive). I'll try recording it at the lowest speed.

Hi guys. When i try to install Mandrake 10, when the setup asks for the 3rd CD, i insert it and it shows again the message saying to insert the 3rd CD. I burned another CD, downloaded again the 3rd CD, nothing worked. Do you guys know how to solve it? Thanks.
