    Aoa I have 2 computers. one is on Windows Xp professional and second one is on Linux. I am using Fedora Core 4 i386 on 64-bit AMD computer. but it is working fine. no problems. My FC4 has 2 ethernet cards. both work with linux. but the problem is when I try to make the network. windows didnot pick up. it says that network cable is unplugged. but i put the ip address and DNS address as well. please tell me how can i solve this problem. For Linux. 1st ethernet card is working on dhcp. it is on attached to the cable modem. 2nd ethernet card configration is as follow. ip address: 192.168.1.1 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: Empty Primary DNS: 194.168.4.100 Secondary DNS: 192.168.8.100 ============================================== For windows. ip address: 192.168.1.2 subnetmask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.1 Primary DNS: 194.168.4.100 Secondary DNS: 194.168.8.100

    My ntl Cable Modem is made by Ambit. Mandrake Recognise it but internet does not come. Knoppix which boot from CD-ROM. Recognise it and i can run the internet from the Knoppix. My cable Modem Attached with USB. I can Attached it with Ethernet. But I donot know how can I do this. Is some body solve my problem or tell me how can i attached with ethernet.

    Hello I am a new user. I want to use linux Red Hat or Mandrake. I want to buy a MSI Motherboard MS-6378. It is shown compatible with Mandrake in the Mandrake Website but it is not shown anywhere in other websites. Secondly I have a 60.0 GB Hard Drive. Its Manufacturer is Western Digital. Its model# is WD-600. The Hard Drive compatibility is not shown in any linux website. So is it Compatable with Linux?
