...do not work in XP. They all install okay, but when I actually try to run them I get the Black Screen of Oblivion and can't get any further. I've tried the XP compatibility options. Don't work. Tried QFixApp. Doesn't work. Tried DOSBox - gives me an error message which stays up for approximately .0003 seconds before exiting the program. Any other options? They do all work on my old Win95 computer, except for a slight problem in Gabriel Knight Sins of the Father (diskette version) where he will not pick up the phone at the beginning of day 5, effectively halting the game. If I can't get it to work in XP, I would appreciate someone telling me where I can get a saved game past the phone problem. If anybody can help me, I'd be very very grateful.

I heard earlier versions of Windows might have trouble recognizing the USB because it's fairly new. Now I don't know much about the process, so I don't really know how much the USB would affect it. Should I just try it anyway?

I've been thinking about that, but I'm hesitant to do anything with the hard drive already in my laptop. I have another drive in a disk enclosure which connects with a USB port, but I'm not sure if partitioning it would work.
