    Where's the space gone?

:x OK, I did that, but it didn't work. Now they both appear as Simple Volumes and when I try to extend C it says "The selected volume was originally created on a basic disk and cannot be extended. Only volumes originally created on dynamic disks can be extended" What does this mean?

    Where's the space gone?

OK, I have gone to upgrade to dynamic disk but a message appears saying that I will not be able to boot previous versions of windows from any volume. Does that mean my existing OS will be OK, and it onys applies if Windows 98 or below is installed?

    Where's the space gone?

I've created a partition and it's now marked as 12.31 GB Healthy. But drive C is still 2.00 GB NTFS. How do I move the 12.31 GB Partition to drive C ?

Video adapter problem - only 16 colours!!!

I think it has integrated graphics. There isn't a PCI card in there for the adapter. Where should I look?

    Where's the space gone?

Another problem continuing from the one before... :x My HD is 20gb however when upgrading to Win2000 and converting to NTFS from FAT32 my HD is now 1.99gb!! How do I get the 18gb space back?
  8. I am having trouble with my video card. I can only display 16 colours at 800x600 pixels. ;( I just got this PC from work. Before I formatted and reinstalled Windows 2000, the display wasd working fine at 1024x768 res. But now there doesn't seem to be any drivers for the video card. I don't know the manufacturer all the info I have is in Display, Settings, Advanced, Adapter, it is listed as VGA. When I click Properties, under General it says VgaSave, Device Type: Non-Plug and Play Drivers. In Device Manger it is listed under Other Devices as Video Controller (VGA Compatible) with a yellow ! beside it. Windows Update doesn't seem to have any drivers. I am using the same monitor as with my old computer, which it worked fine with.
