Update on this problem: Tried resinstall all updates as well as SP1a didn't help thus since I had some time on my hands I format c:\ and did a fresh install again.

My Windows Media Player 9 crashed few times so I reinstalls it. As it reinstalls it adds system restore point right... Anyway here is the deal after that I noticed it still crash so I wish to revert back. In msconfig I tried launching System Restroe it crashes. My Help & Support in start menu also crashes if I tried openning them. Any idea how to get system restore back into working order?
