Thankyou very much. I have 2000 on the work laptop so it had to be regedit but I've got the result I was after. Is there any tool like TweakXP for win2000 that gives you this functionality?

Sorry for the long winded dscription but I can't find the right terminology. I would like to disable some applications that launch themselves from an entry in the registry or somewhere else. How do I find and disable the entry - I recall there was a term in the registry to search for. Anyone know? Thanks a lot.
