What is your domain ? If it's not a real domain (for internet) or pretending so you're mail will not be relayed by outside servers and will be dropped away.

The default ppp configuration is in Control center, Internet and network. But I prefer use KPPP instead, but you have to install the rpm with madrake software installer, it's on the mandrake cds. Just launch it and configure it and enjoy
