What about Norton 2003? Have you tried it? I don't see any real new features offered by 2004 anyways. I have read that many people have had problems with Norton AV 2004 subscription service, but that is unrelated to your problems.

I believe it uses some sort of crosslinking file allocation. In other words, some of the files (that are shared between each installation) are physically only on the CD in one place. However, the file allocation tables on the disk point to it several times.

Drive Image 6 was problem free. However, I once had a problem because the drive was too fragmented. Lesson learned: defragment before creating an image.

What about the Soyo Dragon line of motherboards? I know that personally I am considering the Dragon Ultra Platinum KT400. Yes, it is not the KT600 chipset and does not have SATA, but I've read that it is very stable and it comes with lots of extras such as a flash card reader. However, the one feature that really draws my interest is the 4 IDE channels - so that it supports 8 IDE devices! comments?
