There are some settings in the registry but I can't remember exactly. Try using a tweaking programme. I use Jermars Tweaki For Power Users (www.jermar.com/tweaki..htm) and I can see this option under "wintweaks/system".

Try using Isobuster (http://www.isobuster.com/). Quote: IsoBuster lets you explore a CD's File System while by-passing Windows This way you get better Error handling and several retry-mechanisms to aid you in getting the data anyway (or at least partially). Hope that helps
