First off, is this in a domain or workgroup. Are you using IP addresses on these machines. Have you tried Remote desktop installed on the Window 2000 machines. But you have to enable remote desktop on the XP machines. Let me know if you need help. Email me.

The way I solved it, is either you have to get the driver for this cdrom. Or do an upgrade to the OS. Have you tried checking the cables on the cdrom. LAST RESORT. Try a different cdrom. LAST RESORT. I wound up wiping out the whole machine and it saw the cdrom. Make sure you see the CDROM when you boot up. Hope this helps.
