IIS 5.1 getting a certificate for a 2000 certificate server
PC_Wiz replied to Moonark's topic in Networking
If the server reports that there are no pending requests, one of the following may be the problem: - The Certsrv page is being accessed by using a different URL than the one that was used to submit the request. For example, the request was submitted by using http://Computer_Name/Certsrv, and you are trying to view the pending requests by using http://IP_Address/Certsrv. - The client browser has cookies disabled. - The server is unable to retrieve the cookie that is stored on the client computer. - The cookie that is returned by the client is corrupt. - The cookie has expired. - The right bracket (]) delimiter was not found in the cookie list. -
WinXP can't connect to network shares after a certain time
PC_Wiz replied to Borutra's topic in Networking
Windows 2000 Server will drop idle connections after a specified timeout period, which by default is 15 minutes. The default time-out period can be changed on the Windows 2000 Server by running the following command from a command prompt: net config server /autodisconnect:30 See How Autodisconnect Works in Windows NT and Windows 2000 http://support.microsoft.com/default.asp...;NoWebContent=1 -

Multiple TCP/IP, computer name, and domain in XP. How To???
PC_Wiz replied to Dr Love's topic in Networking
In windows 2000, you had to create "Hardware profiles" or use software line mobile Netswitch to be able to to use resources like Shares, Printers and Proxy Servers from different domains and workgroups without changing domain membership. In Xp, I belive you can use the "Alternate Configuration" under TC/IP properties. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/using/howto/networking/autoconfig.asp
